I love the images in this song associated with each season. I have had the most musically magical experiences performing this song with Dave Kimble, Richie Summa, Barb Siftar and Chris Peters. It is such a lovely reminder to "breathe" - and the gentle jazz progression leads to wonderful improvisation and doing what the song suggests - being in the moment and breathing.
This is one of my lovely wife, Joann's, favorite songs. Good thing, I hope she will breathing through these seasons with me...;)

Season Song
Cmaj7m6
Dm7 G
This will be my summer song,
Cmaj7m6
That you sit with me by the water,
Am G F Em F Fdim
And we let the waves wash down upon our feet,
C E7 Am Gm7 C7
And we watch the sun go down,
Am G F Fm
Watch the sun go down,
C Am Dm7 G
Watch the sun go down,
F C
And breathe.
This will be my autumn song,
That you walk with me through the colors,
And we listen to the change the season sings,
As we drink the cool, crisp air,
Drink the cool, crisp air,
Drink the cool, crisp air,
And breathe.
This will be my winter song,
That you sit with me by the fire,
As we watch the snow paint a portrait all in white,
And we warm our weary souls,
Warm our weary souls,
Warm our weary souls,
And breathe.
This will be my springtime song,
That you walk with me in the garden,
As we notice the little changes that life brings,
And we smile about our lives,
Smile about our lives,
Smile about our lives,
And breathe.
You will always be my season song...
